Job Summary: The Army SERE program Mission Support Section (MSS) is composed of several skilled specialists that provide essential mission support and administrative services to ensure daily operational and administrative support for the execution of SERE training. The MSS provides a wide range of expertise performed by different personnel to assist and enable the SERE training mission. These functions include course registrar, administrative, logistics, transportation, facilities, security, A/V maintenance, and IT support. The job responsibilities listed below are carried out by different individuals, please indicate which job area you are applying for in this application. These positions are contingent on the award of a government contract. Responsibilities: Provide course registrar/support services include scheduling, in/out-processing of students, tracking student status, maintaining course rosters and other associate pre/post training functions related to attendance of the US Army SERE program. Provide course administrator support, which includes general office management, and administrative support functions necessary to support various U.S. Army SERE School clerical requirements. Provide security support services including management and oversight of the SERE security program. The security function will ensure compliance with established DoD and local security policies and guidance. Provide facilities support services including management and oversight of SERE training and staff support facilities. Provide transportation support services including management and oversight of Government and contractor vehicles assigned to the SERE Detachment. Provide supply and logistics support services including management and oversight of supplies and logistics functions necessary to support the SERE school daily operational requirements at all training locations. Provide Information Technology (IT) support services including user assistance, system maintenance and troubleshooting of Government-provided IT systems in accordance with DOD and local policy and guidance. Responsibilities include coordinating all hardware and software purchases with the COR and providing support on an extended/non-standard schedule potentially including nights, weekends and or holiday operations. Provide Audio-Visual (AV) systems support services including comprehensive maintenance (routine/preventative and repair services) for all existing and, as required, replacement for existing computer-based media, cameras, microphones, video cable, audio-visual equipment, and Ethernet based networking devices and switches. These personnel will also maintain all types of low voltage systems including AV equipment such as audio sound reinforcement systems, AV remote-control systems, and cabling infrastructure supporting AV systems and special training areas. This position is also responsible for maintaining security systems including surveillance CCTV. Required Skills and Experience: US Citizen DoD SECRET clearance. Prior [successful] experience performing the skills and duties for the respective position or function you are interested in at an organization of similar size and complexity as the US Army SERE School (i.e. multiple training locations, continuous overlapping courses, etc.) Prior demonstrated ability to plan, organize and develop schedules and milestones for program goals and monitor progress in a timely manner so corrective action, if necessary, can be implemented effectively. Competency with basic computer skills such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. IT Support Services personnel shall have the following professional certifications: CompTIA Security+ (supersedes A+ and Network+), MCTS: Windows 7 or higher, such as MCSE. Desired Skills and Experience: Prior experience in your skill area at the US Army SERE School Prior experience in your skill area supporting a formal military training program Advanced training or certifications in your skill area Prior military service in Army Aviation or a SOF occupational specialty Required Background Check: Secret Clearance; comprehensive employment background screening.
