Job Description WLUK Green Bay is looking for a Meteorologist/ Weather Reporter. This position offers it all. The successful candidate will forecast and present all four seasons of weather. From blistering summer storms to winter snowstorms this is the job that will launch you into an exciting career. When you aren't presenting the weathercast you'll be reporting. Your stories will be focused on weather issues and events. No city hall stories or features on the circus. Our meteorologists are focused on weather - in all its forms - presented on all our platforms, digital, social and broadcast. This is a great opportunity for an early career meteorologist to join Northeast Wisconsin's #1 weather team.The main day to day responsibilities of the role will include... * Forecasting, Producing and Presenting clear and concise weather casts, which tell the weather story of the day and connects with viewers * Issue warnings and alerts, produce graphics and maps, and report live during weather events * Utilize social media during severe weather * Write and edit weather stories when not forecasting the weather * Work with producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday situations What skills do you need to be successful in our role? * Ability to tell memorable and meaningful stories * Ability to present active and visual live shots * Knowledge of forecasting * Sharp news judgement and exceptional writing skills * Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks * Bachelor's degree in Meteorology * Previous on air experience (college or professional) is preferred While applying online, please include a link to your online demo reel.Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace!About Us Make your mark in Media with Sinclair, Inc., a diversified media company dedicated to connecting people with content everywhere!
